United Way Needs Volunteers
for the Citizens Review Committee
Have you ever wondered who makes the decisions on how much money is distributed to each United Way agency? The community does; you, me, our friends, families, co-workers, and neighbors. The community raises the money and the community distributes the money through the United Way Citizens Review Committee.
We need compassionate volunteers.
What is involved?
- Attendance at approximately 5 meetings, including training and orientation (March through June)
- A willingness to set aside past and present involvement with any United Way agency for the purpose of fair and accurate�funding deliberations
- An understanding that the results of the funding deliberations have a trememndous effect on each agency
Why should you want to volunteer for this opportunity?
- You will learn a great deal about our community, its needs and the resources available to meet those needs
- You will get to work with others like you in our community
- You will help direct where the community contributions go
- Our community will be better because of your work
